About Agnes

Growing up as an introverted Asian girl, there are two things I love - sports and dance. My life took a complete turn when I lost the ability to do both, at the age of 16. That year, I had to undergo a major surgery after taking my 'O' levels.

Every step of the recovery process was painful. Standing up. Walking. Moving. Less about the physical pain, it was the mental torture. I hated my body. I hated my life. I was broken.

I remember watching films that impacted me. I would find a character who gave me strength, and said the words I needed to hear. To keep fighting. Film taught me love, gratitude and courage. After I recovered, I knew I wanted to be THAT person for others.

Hi, I am Agnes, an actress from sunny Singapore, with a passion to tell deeper stories that could empower, inspire, and resonate with people. Some of my past works include heartwarming film Office Incognita, trauma-themed film Return the Night, interracial-themed film Linda, and award-winning action film Bullet for Vengeance which earned me 'Best Supporting Actress' in the Golden Reel International Film Festival 2023 (Massachusetts, USA).

During the pandemic, I have collaborated with filmmakers from abroad to champion social diversity and inclusivity including gender-focused feature Grand Sugar Daddy, immigrant-focused theatrical festival Tales from the Visa Line (USA) and Covid-inspired virtual play Love Letters for Juliet (Canada).

I am your Asian girl-next-door with a blend of natural vulnerability and inner strength.

Outside of acting, I live and breathe wellness. I enjoy yoga, pilates, boxing, muay thai, dance, and things that give me a new perspective about life and people - watching films, reading, travelling, and learning a new language!

PS: I am also trained to handle pistol (level 1 certification).
